As the San Antonio Spurs find themselves out of playoff contention with 16 regular-season games remaining, rookie standout Victor Wembanyama remains steadfast in his dedication to the team’s cause.

Despite the Spurs’ elimination, Wembanyama expresses his commitment to play out the rest of the season, emphasizing his sense of responsibility towards his teammates.

For the talented French prospect, the opportunity to compete and contribute to the team’s effort holds paramount importance, regardless of the standings.

“It’s no question for me,” Wembanyama said, per Tom Orsborn of San Antonio Express-News. “How much do I want it? As much as I wanted it all season. I have this responsibility towards my team.”

Throughout the season, Wembanyama has been a shining light for the Spurs, averaging 20.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 28.8 minutes per game.
