Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler believes that guarding individuals as a group needs to improve.

Jason Jackson: “It’s good for the defense at this point of the year to have that type of test two nights in a row having the league’s top two scorers (Luka Doncic & Shai Gilgeous-Alexander). They have the nights that they’re going to have, but it now gives you all an opportunity to adjust and see the places where you’ve got to maybe kick it up a little bit.”
Butler: “I mean, I feel like every team in this league got guys that put the ball in the basket, maybe some a little bit better than others or in a different way. I don’t even know who we play next, but whoever we play, I guarantee they’ve got a guy that can score the ball at a high level. And then we’ve just got to do better guarding these individuals as a team, and not leaving guys on an island so much. There’s still time, but damn, not too much time.”
