NBA insider Shams Charania has delivered an update on the status of Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker following his ankle injury against the Houston Rockets.
According to Charania, the Suns are preparing for Booker to be sidelined for at least seven to ten days as he recovers from his right ankle sprain.
“The Suns and Devin Booker are bracing for his right ankle sprain to keep him sidelined for at least seven to ten days, sources tell me,” Charania said on FanDuelTV’s Run It Back. “Booker suffered the ankle sprain on Saturday.
“The Suns are 31 and 19 with him in the lineup this year and just 4 and 7 without. Booker is averaging almost 28 points per game over the last two months of this season. The Suns’ priority has been to get healthy and get right down this stretch of the season.”
This season Booker is averaging 27.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 35.8 minutes per game.
