The Charlotte Hornets have appointed Jeff Peterson as their new head of basketball operations, succeeding Mitch Kupchak, who recently stepped down as the Hornets’ president of basketball operations.

At 35 years old, Peterson becomes the NBA’s youngest front office leader. He previously served in the Brooklyn Nets’ front office for five years as an assistant to Sean Marks.

Peterson, a former college basketball player at Iowa, Arkansas, and Florida State, had various roles with the Atlanta Hawks before joining the Nets in 2019.
