Pascal Siakam leads Pacers to victory over Pelicans

Pascal Siakam recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds to propel the Indiana Pacers (34-26) to a 123-114 win over the New Orleans Pelicans (35-25) on Wednesday night.

Tyrese Haliburton played a crucial role in the Pacers’ victory, contributing 17 points and dishing out 13 assists. Bennedict Mathurin and Obi Toppin contributed 16 points each, while Myles Turner added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Despite a strong performance from Brandon Ingram, who tallied 30 points and six rebounds for the Pelicans, New Orleans struggled to contain the Pacers’ offensive onslaught. Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum each scored 23 points.

Indiana’s dominance was evident from the outset, as they surged to a commanding 40-24 lead at the end of the first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

New Orleans mounted a comeback effort, narrowing the gap to just three points in the fourth quarter, but Haliburton’s clutch plays down the stretch secured the win for the Pacers.

Despite missing key players like Aaron Nesmith and Doug McDermott due to injuries, the Pacers displayed depth and resilience to outlast the Pelicans.

The Pelicans, on the other hand, faced challenges of their own with Dyson Daniels sidelined due to injury and Jonas Valanciunas limited to just seven minutes of play.
