Anthony Edwards dominates with 34 points as Timberwolves top Spurs

Anthony Edwards dropped game-high 34 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves (41-17) to a 114-105 victory over the San Antonio Spurs (11-48) on Tuesday night.

Despite the absence of All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, who missed the game due to personal reasons, the Timberwolves found their rhythm behind Edwards’ explosive offensive display.

Rudy Gobert made his presence felt with a dominant performance, contributing 13 points and 17 rebounds, while French sensation Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Naz Reid provided a valuable spark off the bench for Minnesota, adding 22 points to complement Edwards’ scoring onslaught.

San Antonio fought valiantly, with Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson leading the charge with 21 and 20 points, respectively, but turnovers plagued their efforts, allowing the Timberwolves to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
