Purdue’s standout center, Zach Edey, will not be returning to school for another season after the current one. Despite being a senior, Edey, like other players, was granted an additional year of eligibility due to the COVID-affected 2020-21 season.

However, Purdue coach Matt Painter has confirmed that the star big man will not be back on campus for the next season. Consequently, Edey is set to enter the 2024 NBA Draft, with consistent projections placing him as a mid-first-round pick.

Edey, who was honored as the National Player of the Year last season, is poised for a repeat this year, boasting impressive averages of 23.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game.
