The Atlanta Hawks big man Onyeka Okongwu is set to be out “for the foreseeable future” due to a left big toe sprain, as confirmed by head coach Quin Snyder on Thursday, per Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Twitter link).
“I don’t want to speak out of turn as far as a timeline goes, but he’s not going to be available for the foreseeable future,” Synder said (Twitter link via Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks).
Before last Monday’s loss to Chicago, Okongwu had only been absent for one game this season. Unfortunately, he sustained the injury during that game and could be sidelined for a significant duration.
