Giannis Antetokounmpo had 33 points and 13 rebounds, leading the Milwaukee Bucks (36-21) to a hard-fought 112-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves (39-17) on Friday night.
Despite a late surge from the Timberwolves, fueled by Anthony Edwards’ clutch shooting, the Bucks held on for the win with a crucial basket from Damian Lillard in the closing seconds.
Lillard, who recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 assists, provided a steady hand for the Bucks down the stretch.
Karl-Anthony Towns (22 points, 14 rebounds) and Rudy Gobert (12 points, 19 rebounds) made significant contributions for the Timberwolves, but their efforts were not enough to overcome Milwaukee’s third-quarter surge.
The Bucks went on a 20-0 run to end the third quarter, winning it 36-13, to enter the final period with a 13-point advantage.
