In a tightly contested matchup, the Houston Rockets (25-31) clinched a narrow 114-110 victory over the Phoenix Suns (33-24) on Friday night.

Fred VanVleet led the charge for the Rockets with 23 points, supported by Jabari Smith Jr.’s impressive double-double performance of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Alperen Sengun added 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Despite a strong showing from Phoenix’s stars, including Kevin Durant’s 28 points and Devin Booker’s 25 points, the Suns couldn’t overcome Houston’s resilience.

In absence of Bradley Beal, Bol Bol stepped up with standout performance for the Suns, with season highs of 25 points and 14 rebounds.

Houston’s ability to maintain composure in the face of Phoenix’s late surge proved pivotal in securing the hard-fought victory.

The Suns’ valiant effort to rally back in the fourth quarter showcased their competitive spirit, but ultimately fell short against the Rockets’ determined defense.
