Tyres Haliburton: “I don’t take this life for granted”

In a heartfelt acknowledgment of his journey, Tyres Haliburton shared gratitude amid his second NBA All-Star appearance.

As a starter for the Eastern Conference stars and playing in front of his hometown fans in Indianapolis, the 23-year-old point guard embraced the opportunity to reflect on his remarkable path.

“Last time was my birthday, I was in college, broke my wrist, never thought I would be here,” Haliburton recounted.

With a birthday that occurs only once every four years, Haliburton’s journey is marked by resilience and determination.

“I knew that at the time once my wrist was broken that I was going to go to the NBA, but never thought I’d have the success I’m having,” Haliburton said..

Amidst his stellar season, where he averages 21.8 points, 11.7 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game, Haliburton remains grounded in gratitude for the opportunities afforded to him.

“As you sit back and reflect, it’s really special. I don’t take this life for granted,” Haliburton emphasized. “And yeah it’s a dream come true for me.”
