Larry Bird praises Nikola Jokic: “I would love to play against him”

Basketball legend Larry Bird recently shared his admiration for Denver Nuggets’ superstar Nikola Jokic, expressing a desire to compete against him on the court.

“I would love to play against him,” Bird said. “He’s good. There are so many great centers over the history of our game, man, is he good. I hope he stays healthy and continues to do what he does because he is fun to watch…

“When Golden State was healthy they were really fun to watch. Now it’s switched over to Denver. He makes that whole thing go. Wouldn’t it be fun to play with him?”

Jokic’s impressive resume, which includes two NBA MVP awards and a recent NBA championship along with Finals MVP, underscores his status as one of the league’s premier players.

With stellar statistics this season, including averages of 26.1 points, 12 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game, Jokic is yet again an MVP candidate.

As Jokic prepares for his sixth All-Star Game appearance, his selection as a starter for the Western Conference team further solidifies his standing as one of the league’s top players.
