Spencer Dinwiddie is set to join the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the season, with expectations that he will clear waivers on Saturday. The experienced guard was seen alongside Lakers GM Rob Pelinka during the team’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.

While the Lakers remained inactive during the trade deadline, they have now bolstered their roster significantly by acquiring Dinwiddie for the upcoming playoff push. Los Angeles had been actively seeking improvements in their guard rotation, and with Dinwiddie on board, they have achieved that goal.

Dinwiddie, who previously played for the Brooklyn Nets, boasted averages of 12.6 points and 6.0 assists this season. He had started all 48 games with the Nets before being traded to the Toronto Raptors at the deadline, only to be waived by Toronto after the trade.
