The NBA-leading Boston Celtics (38-12) are exploring potential roster additions, targeting Otto Porter Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV in their trade discussions.

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Celtics are looking to utilize their $6.25 million traded-player exception to bolster their roster.

30-year-old Porter, currently with the Toronto Raptors, has seen limited action this season, appearing in just 15 games and averaging 2.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.6 minutes per game.

On the other hand, Walker has emerged as a valuable contributor for the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 12 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 18.8 minutes per game.

The 25-year-old guard has garnered significant interest from playoff contenders while impressing on a minimum one-year, $2.3 million contract with the Nets.

Porter, with an expiring two-year, $12.3 million contract, offers financial flexibility for potential trade scenarios, while Walker’s contract provides an affordable option for teams seeking immediate contributions without long-term commitments.
