Chicago Bulls’ hopes for a playoff run have taken a severe hit as star player Zach LaVine is set to miss the remainder of the season due to a right foot injury.

In a significant blow to the Bulls, NBA insider Shams Charania reported, “Bulls say Zach LaVine, in consultation with team and Klutch Sports Group, has elected to undergo season-ending surgery on his right foot.”

The anticipated surgery, scheduled for the upcoming week, comes as LaVine faces a lengthy recovery period, with Charania revealing, “Zach LaVine is expected to have surgery during the upcoming week and miss a total of 4-to-6 months.”

LaVine’s absence is a major setback for the Bulls, especially considering he has been a key trade candidate throughout the season. The dynamic guard averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 34.9 minutes per game, leaving a significant void in the team’s lineup.
