Trae Young reacts to All-Star snub

Atlanta Hawks’ point guard Trae Young, a two-time NBA All-Star, finds himself facing an All-Star snub for the second consecutive year.

Despite receiving the second-highest fan votes among Eastern Conference guards, Young’s overall ranking in player and media voting left him outside the All-Star starting lineup. He didn’t get picked among the reserves either.

Expressing gratitude to his fans, Young commented on the snub, saying, “I got a lot of love for my fans out there. I ain’t got much to say about it right now.”

When asked if he would step in as a replacement in case of an injury to an East All-Star, Young, with a smile, replied, “I would because I’m not representing just myself. Instead of being selfish, I’m just going to be honest. I could, but I know I’m not representing just myself, so I would go. But I want to get the invite first, of course.”

Despite the setback, Young maintains an impressive season, averaging 27.1 points, 11 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 36.5 minutes per game.
