Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s all-around performance leads Thunder past Hornets

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder (34-15) to a commanding 126-106 victory over the struggling Charlotte Hornets (10-37).

The point guard, who is the league’s third-highest scorer, notched 31 points, showcasing efficiency by making 11 of 15 field goals. However, his impact extended beyond scoring, as he contributed nine assists, five steals, and three blocks.

Chet Holmgren added 16 points to the Thunder’s offensive onslaught, securing their second consecutive win and the seventh in nine games.

This victory propelled Oklahoma City into a tie for first place in the competitive Western Conference alongside the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Despite missing Jalen Williams and Isaiah Joe, the Thunder displayed offensive firepower.

Rookie Brandon Miller’s 28 points and Bryce McGowens’ 15 weren’t enough for the struggling Hornets, who suffered their sixth consecutive loss. The absence of LaMelo Ball for the fourth straight game due to a right ankle overuse injury further hampered Charlotte’s chances.
