The Los Angeles Clippers are actively exploring the trade market for two players, Bones Hyland and PJ Tucker, as the NBA trade deadline approaches, according Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Hyland, a 23-year-old guard acquired from the Denver Nuggets last season, has seen a decline in his statistics, averaging a career-low 6.2 points and 1.7 assists in just 13.2 minutes per game. With one year left on his four-year, $10.7 million contract, the Clippers are exploring options for the young player.

Tucker, the 38-year-old forward acquired in the James Harden trade, has been sidelined for two months. Expressing a desire for a more active role on a competitive team, Tucker, with limited playing time averaging 1.2 points and 2.4 rebounds, has reportedly shown interest in joining the Phoenix Suns.

The trade consideration for Tucker adds a layer of complexity due to his current contract situation. In the second year of a three-year, $33 million deal, Tucker faces an annual salary of $11 million.

The presence of a player option for the third year introduces uncertainty to potential trade scenarios, making Tucker’s situation one to closely monitor as the trade deadline approaches.
