De’Aaron Fox guides Kings to win over Mavericks with 34-point performance

De’Aaron Fox dropped 34 points to lead the Sacramento Kings (26-18) to a 120-115 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (25-21) on Saturday night.

Despite Dallas mounting a late comeback from a 23-point deficit, Fox’s clutch layup and free throws secured the Kings’ victory.

Harrison Barnes complemented Fox’s stellar performance with a 20-point contribution, playing a crucial role in the Kings’ success.

Luka Doncic, coming off a historic 73-point game, faced a formidable Kings defense that limited his scoring output to 28 points. The Slovenian finished the game with a triple-double effort with 17 assists and 10 rebounds.

The Kings’ well-rounded performance included significant contributions from Kevin Huerter, who scored 18 points, and Domantas Sabonis, securing his 27th consecutive double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Grant Williams (27 points) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (19 points) led the scoring efforts for Dallas, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Kings’ determined play.

Kyrie Irving’s absence from the Mavericks lineup due to a right thumb sprain added to their challenges.
