Tatum and Brown combine for 73 points in Celtics’ victory over Mavericks

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown delivered a spectacular performance as they combined for 73 points, leading the Boston Celtics (34-10) to a 119-110 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (24-19) on Monday night.

Tatum led all scorers with 39 points, adding 11 rebounds, while Brown added 34 points to secure the win for the Celtics.

Despite a challenging back-to-back schedule and facing the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, Tatum and Brown outshone their counterparts.

Doncic, although recording a triple-double with 33 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists, struggled to find his rhythm, shooting 2 of 8 from beyond the arc. Irving, returning from an unexpected break, contributed 23 points for the Mavericks.

Kristaps Porzingis was sidelined with right knee inflammation, leaving the Celtics without their key player. Jrue Holiday chipped in with 17 points for Boston.
