The Washington Wizards have inked a 10-day contract with center/forward Trey Jemison.

Jemison, who has been playing for the Birmingham Squadron in the G League this season, boasts impressive stats, averaging 10.9 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in 25 appearances. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches, he has also maintained a solid 57% field goal shooting percentage.

The need for Jemison’s addition arose after Wizards’ starting center Daniel Gafford suffered a concussion during the game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday, January 15.

This injury prompted the recently acquired Marvin Bagley III to step up, starting and playing for over 39 minutes in his inaugural game with Washington on Thursday.
