Barca win in Kaunas and stay top of Group B

BarcelonaBarcelona will remain in the first place in Group B for at least one more week after they defeated Zalgiris in Kaunas. Lithuanian champions are now in a very difficult situation with 0-5 run. Meanwhile Barcelona is coming closer to winning a tough group.

Visitors from Spain were active right from the start. Zalgiris offense couldn't respond to their opponents and were behind 14-23 after the first quarter.

The game was more even in the second quarter. The hosts managed to win it 18-15. Jaka Lakovic was unstoppable for Barca hitting all of his three pointers.

Kaunas Sports Hall started to believe that Zalgiris could eventually come away with the win as The Greens made a run in the third quarter coming as close as one point. Barcelona players didn't let themselves panic and soon responded with even more impressive run. Quite soon they were up by 16 points.

Final period was more like a formality as the winner was decided earlier. Quite easy victory for the Spanish giants 75-60.

Jaka Lakovic had a terrific game with 22 points and 5/5 three-pointers while Willie Deane is becoming the most disappointing signing in Euroleague with 0 points.
