Trent and Barrett propel Raptors to dominant win over Heat

In a commanding performance, Gary Trent Jr. and RJ Barrett led the Toronto Raptors (16-25) to a resounding 121-97 triumph over the Miami Heat (24-17) on Wednesday night. Trent scored a season-high 28 points, making a remarkable eight 3-pointers, while Barrett contributed 26 points.

Despite playing without Pascal Siakam, who was recently traded to the Indiana Pacers, the Raptors established control early, leading by as much as 37 points. Scottie Barnes added 20 points, and Immanuel Quickley recorded 17 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds for Toronto.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 16 points, but Miami faced a historic 35-point halftime deficit, the largest in team history.

The Heat played without Jaime Jaquez Jr. due to a strained left groin, and Kevin Love missed his second straight game with a sore left knee. Raptors center Jakob Poeltl remained sidelined for the fifth consecutive game with a sprained left ankle.
