After concluding the 2022-23 season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Malik Beasley, now with the Milwaukee Bucks, sheds light on his decision to join the team.

In an interview with Shams Charania on Stadium, Beasley revealed, “Definitely wanted to win a championship. That was one of my goals. I felt that I’m at a point of my career where I just want to win and do whatever I can for the team.”

Beasley highlighted the appeal of playing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, emphasizing his role in spacing the floor for the team. The dynamic with Giannis and the opportunity for significant playing time were crucial factors in his decision.

Reflecting on his choice, Beasley expressed the desire for veteran leadership, stating, “I wanted some veterans who won a championship, who know the game to help me out.”

Addressing the transition from the Lakers to the Bucks, Beasley acknowledged the bright lights of Los Angeles but dismissed the idea that they negatively impacted his performance, stating, “I like pressure. I don’t think it was necessary the pressure or the lights.”

Beasley, currently leading the NBA in three-point percentage at 48.1%, has seamlessly integrated into the Bucks’ lineup. As a starter, he contributes an average of 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 29.4 minutes per game, showcasing his versatility and impact on the court.
