Towns and Gobert propel Timberwolves to dominant win over Trail Blazers

Rudy Gobert’s authoritative double-double, with 24 points and 17 rebounds, and Karl-Anthony Towns’ 23-point contribution led the Minnesota Timberwolves (27-11) to a commanding 116-93 victory over the struggling Portland Trail Blazers (10-28) on Friday night.

Minnesota’s well-rounded performance also featured the return of Mike Conley, who contributed nine points and 10 assists. Anthony Edwards added nine points.

Portland, grappling with injuries, saw Duop Reath lead the team with 14 points. Jabari Walker returned after a four-game absence, delivering a solid 17-point performance off the bench.

However, DeAndre Ayton and Shaedon Sharpe remained sidelined due to knee tendinitis and adductor soreness, respectively.
