Steph Curry addresses Warriors’ disappointing loss to Raptors

In a challenging matchup, RJ Barrett’s explosive performance guided the Toronto Raptors (15-21) to a resounding 133-118 victory over the Golden State Warriors (17-19) on Sunday night.

The Raptors’ triumph was underscored by a suboptimal showing from Stephen Curry, who struggled with his shot, finishing the game 2 for 14 and tallying only nine points. Notably, Curry faltered in finding his 3-point range, missing all nine attempts. This marked his second-lowest scoring performance of the season, with his points in single digits for the second time.

Reflecting on the disappointing loss, Curry shared his thoughts in a postgame interview. “The concern level grows with more nights like tonight that you have and tough losses,” Curry acknowledged. “Obviously, I’ve got to play better and be more efficient, find a way to get going early and give us some life.”

Curry continued to express his nature of self-reflection and the commitment to improvement. “My nature when things get hard is to look at what you can do better,” he stated. “So Imma stay there and respond the way I know how to do.”

Acknowledging the team’s challenges this season, Curry emphasized the need to quickly establish chemistry and identity. “The challenge for us is to find chemistry and to find an identity as fast as possible with just the hand that we’ve been dealt this year,” he explained. “We failed that test tonight.”

Looking ahead to future games, Curry highlighted the team’s determination to bounce back. “That doesn’t mean Wednesday [against the Pelicans] you don’t show up with the right mentality and the right confidence and the right approach to bounce back. And then you got to do it again.”
