The coach of the LA Clippers, Ty Lue, mentioned that the timeframe for Kawhi Leonard’s return from a hip injury is uncertain. One factor contributing to this uncertainty is that Leonard has not yet received clearance to engage in practice.
Lue explained that Leonard’s hip contusion is a worsening of a previous injury. The initial injury occurred during a game against the Utah Jazz on December 8, and despite the discomfort, Leonard continued to play. The hip issue resurfaced when he fell during a game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Before this latest injury, Leonard had participated in the Clippers’ first 27 games, which included playing in four consecutive back-to-back sets. However, he has now been sidelined for four consecutive games due to the current hip contusion.
