NancyThe battle of the two teams, that haven't tasted the victory this season, finished with the hosts winning and keeping their chances of reaching Top 16. Zalgiris board was talking about aims of going "further than Top 16" but the club might say goodbye to Euroleague already after the regular season.

Meanwhile Nancy earned a very important win in their fight for the fourht place in Group B. The game was close for most of the time but the French side switched the upper gear and increased their lead to 16 points after three quarters.

Howevere Lithuanian champions found the energy in the end. The gap was shortened to just 4 points thanks to Jonas Maciulis, Dainius Salenga and Paulius Jankunas. Willie Deane was still absent after broking his nose two weeks ago in Kaunas against Montepaschi.

And three point guards that were on the court scored only 8 points in total. Zygimantas Janavicius who used to play in the second division in Lithuania last season is asdjusting to a role of being a point guard at Euroleague team quite well but he had only 2 points. Ratko Varda who made a return after an injury wasn't any better.

Both teams were pretty bad in shooting three-pointers. Nancy made 3/17 (17.6%), Zalgiris was slightly better with 6/24 (25%).

Lamayne Wilson and Ricardo Greer were the main weapons of Nancy. They had 17 and 16 points respectively heping their team record the first win in this year's Euroleague 69-64.
