Corey Kispert: I’m trying to be more of a visible athlete this year

Washington Wizards small forward Corey Kispert discussed showing his athleticism more this season following Wednesday’s 132-102 home loss vs. the Toronto Raptors (13 points/2 rebounds/2 assists/1 steal/5-8 FG/2-5 3-PT/1-1 FT).

Reporter: “Another pretty cool dunk tonight. I know that backdoor cuts have been like maybe an underrated aspect of your game, but is it something you’re trying to develop in your game just throwing it down when you get in the paint like that?”

Kispert: “Yeah. Trying to be much more of like a visible athlete this year. I’ve kind of always had it, but I never showed it, so taking my chances to put that on display this year. When you go to the rim with that kind of force, people start challenging you less and less, and a dunk is one of the most high percentage shots you can have. So, I’m going to try to do it as much as possible.”
