Jeremy Fears Jr. of Michigan State was discharged from the hospital on Sunday following a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg that occurred at his home in Illinois the day before, as revealed by his father on social media.

“Jr is doing really good. Discharged and headed home. #blessed,” Fears’ father, Jeremy Fears posted on X.

The latest information on the freshman basketball player includes three videos showcasing Fears Jr. walking, sitting, and using crutches to navigate stairs during his hospital stay.

Fears sustained a gunshot wound to the leg while at home for the holiday break, and the university confirmed that he underwent a successful surgery in response to the incident.
