The Philadelphia 76ers have been associated with Zach LaVine ever since it was reported that the Chicago Bulls guard desired a trade. However, the Sixers don’t appear particularly keen on acquiring LaVine.

Philadelphia is reportedly placing a higher priority on players who excel on both offense and defense. Additionally, they aim to maintain some flexibility with their salary cap.

While LaVine is known for his offensive skills, his defensive prowess has not received the same level of acclaim. Moreover, his current salary of $40.1 million for this season poses a challenge in terms of matching salaries in a trade.

Looking ahead, LaVine is committed to a substantial financial obligation, with nearly $138 million owed over the next three seasons.

This makes acquiring him through a trade a significant investment, both in terms of player assets and impact on the team’s salary cap.
