Damian Lillard goes off for 40 points as Bucks beat Spurs

Damian Lillard scored a season-high 40 points, surpassing 20,000 career points, as the Milwaukee Bucks (20-7) dominated the San Antonio Spurs (4-22) with a 132-119 victory.

Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed a triple-double with a career-high 16 assists, 14 rebounds, and 11 points, marking his 37th career triple-double and second this season.

Victor Wembanyama’s absence due to a sore right ankle prevented a showdown with Antetokounmpo.

Bobby Portis delivered a strong performance with 23 points and 10 rebounds, complemented by Khris Middleton’s 17 points and Brook Lopez’s 14 points and six blocks.

Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Zach Collins and Devin Vassell added 22 and 17 points, respectively.

The victory adds to the Spurs’ challenging season, with losses in 20 of their last 21 games.
