Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards showcased a spectacular performance, combining for 77 points, as the Minnesota Timberwolves (19-5) secured a commanding 127-109 victory against the short-handed Indiana Pacers (13-11) on Saturday night.
Towns had a phenomenal outing, scoring a season-high 40 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Edwards complemented Towns with an impressive 37 points.
Naz Reid added 17 points, and Kyle Anderson facilitated the offense with 10 assists for Minnesota, which boasts an impressive 11-1 home record, tying with Boston for the league’s best overall record at 19-5.
Despite the Pacers’ efforts, playing without top scorer Tyrese Haliburton, who was sidelined due to a bruised left knee, and facing logistical challenges, Indiana could not contain the Timberwolves’ offensive onslaught. Bruce Brown and Aaron Nesmith led the Pacers with 17 points each.
