The Golden State Warriors presented Klay Thompson with a pre-season extension offer valued at around $48 million over two seasons, as disclosed by sources to Shams Charania of The Athletic. If Thompson opts not to sign the extension before the 2024 offseason, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Currently earning $43.2 million in the final year of his five-year, $190 million contract signed in the 2019 season after his ACL tear, Thompson faced a prolonged recovery, missing the entire first two seasons of the deal due to the ACL and subsequent Achilles injury.
