Lauri Markkanen probable to return on Wednesday

It seems like forward Lauri Markkanen is likely to make a comeback for the Jazz on Wednesday after being out of action since November 22 due to a left hamstring strain. Markkanen, who has been the team’s top scorer this season, is listed as probable to play against the Knicks in Utah.

Before his injury, Markkanen was performing well, averaging 23.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game with a shooting line of .484/.383/.840 in 15 games, playing an average of 34.1 minutes per game.

The Jazz managed to secure a couple of unexpected victories against the Pelicans in Markkanen’s absence, but they have struggled in the last six games, losing five of them.

Additionally, the team has the lowest offensive rating (102.3) in the NBA during this recent stretch.
