Knicks secure third consecutive victory, defeat Raptors

The New York Knicks (12-7) displayed their dominance, securing their third straight win by defeating the Toronto Raptors (9-11) with a score of 119-106.

Jalen Brunson led the charge with 22 points, complemented by a standout performance from Josh Hart, who scored 15 of his 17 points in the crucial third quarter.

Julius Randle contributed significantly with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, highlighting the Knicks’ prowess against teams with losing records, maintaining a perfect 10-0 record in such matchups.

RJ Barrett, a Toronto native, added 15 points to the Knicks’ winning effort, while Donte DiVincenzo showcased his sharpshooting skills with a 7-for-9 performance from beyond the arc, accumulating 21 points.

Despite a strong showing from the Raptors’ Scottie Barnes, who scored 29 points, and Pascal Siakam’s 21 points, Toronto couldn’t extend their three-game home winning streak.

Jakob Poeltl contributed a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors, while Dennis Schroder finished with 10 points and nine assists.

This matchup carried additional significance as it marked the first meeting between the Knicks and the Raptors since the Knicks filed a lawsuit in August, alleging the theft of scouting secrets by the Raptors. The legal dispute added an extra layer of intensity to an already competitive game.
