Here’s Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle explaining why this season should be a lot more difficult than 2022-23 (averaging an NBA-best 128.8 PPG).

“This year is not last year. Last year is in the past. Last year was totally different. This year has much greater meaning, and so, it’s not going to be the same, it’s not going to feel the same. It’s harder, it’s harder. Teams are coming at us. We’re the highest scoring team on the planet. Teams are loading up, trying to figure out ways to slow us down. It’s not like last year, which was really a development year where we’re just throwing guys out there to let them get experience.”
