Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 40 points lead Thunder to 6th straight win against Bulls

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points and dished out 12 assists, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder (11-4) to a commanding 116-102 victory over the Chicago Bulls (5-11) on Wednesday night.

This marked the Thunder’s sixth straight win, with rookie Chet Holmgren contributing 18 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Isaiah Joe added 20 points for the Thunder, who are currently on their longest winning streak since the 2018-19 season.

Gilgeous-Alexander, receiving “MVP! MVP!” chants from the crowd, showcased his offensive prowess and moved up to third on the Oklahoma City scoring list, trailing only Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

DeMar DeRozan, despite a slow start, led the Bulls with 25 points, while Coby White’s seven 3-pointers contributed to his 23-point performance.

The Bulls, missing Zach LaVine due to a sore right foot, couldn’t overcome the Thunder’s lead in the final period.

Despite Chicago’s efforts, including a surge from White in the second quarter, the Thunder maintained control, securing their second victory against the Bulls this season.
