NBA reviewing Draymond Green’s headlock on Rudy Gobert, possible suspension looms

Last night’s game between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves included early ejections of three key players.

In the opening minutes, with the game still scoreless, Draymond Green was ejected for putting Minnesota’s Rudy Gobert in a headlock.

The scuffle started between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels, resulting in Thompson’s jersey being ripped, consequently both players getting ejected.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that the NBA is considering a suspension for Green’s headlock on Gobert, with a review expected before the Warriors’ Thursday game against OKC.

The review includes video analysis and interviews, and NBA EVP Joe Dumars emphasized, “excessive and over-the-top actions, conduct detrimental, and a repeat offender” could lead to a suspension, referring to Green’s past playoff suspension for stepping on Domantas Sabonis.
