San Antonio Spurs’ Jeremy Sochan, in his second NBA season, is experiencing a unique challenge as head coach Gregg Popovich utilizes him as a point guard, a shift from his usual power forward role.

Sochan openly shared his thoughts on this unexpected change, stating, “There have been moments where it’s like, ‘Yo I don’t want to,’” as reported by Jeff McDonald of San Antonio Express-News.

In this experiment, Sochan acknowledged the difficulty, expressing, “It is the first time I have ever played point guard in my life.”

He is committed to making the position change work but admits, “there have been moments where there isn’t confidence.”

Reflecting on the adjustment, Sochan added, “There have been moments of being confident.”

This season Sochan is averaging 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 27 minutes per game.
