For most NBA players, parlays aren’t top of mind during competition. The Miami Heat veteran Jimmy Butler, indifferent to fans’ parlays, still enjoys engaging with spectators, especially those courtside.
In a recent game against the struggling Memphis Grizzlies, a bettor needed Butler to score 20 points for their parlay, but he ended with 15.
Despite the fan’s pleas, Butler, a six-time NBA All-Star, chose to share a glimpse of the financial benefits of his basketball career.
Social media videos showed Butler responding to the fan while the ball was in play.
“20 man, score…score for me,” the fan was heard saying. “Jimmy I gotta pay my mortgage.”
Butler then responded: “I paid mine…. I bought my house in cash.”
"20 man, score for me… Make this 3 for real."
