Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker discussed watching more film after Wednesday’s 100-93 home win vs. the Los Angeles Clippers (21 points/1 rebound/1 steal/1 block/8-16 FG/3-7 3-PT/2-2 FT).

Reporter: “Not only were you hitting a lot of shots from three; but you were getting into the lane, making floaters, making plays, displayed a lot of craft, snaking pick & roll, stuff like that. How much of an emphasis was your inside the arc pace and decision making this offseason?”

Walker: “Just genuinely understanding the game, kind of slowing it down. I used to always play 100 percent, going too fast without really analyzing the game. So, I watch a lot of film. Every time we play a new team I’m watching their film, watching how they’re playing defense, what’s available, what are key points to attack. There was a point of time Zubac had five fouls, so just being aggressive knowing that he’s not really going to try and foul you. Just growing that IQ aspect of the game, but I’ve got a lot of trust in my game. I feel like I can score from a plethora of different places, and my teammates and my coaches are starting to instill a lot of confidence in myself as well.”
