Los Angeles Clippers backup center, Mason Plumlee, had to be assisted off the court on Monday night due to a left knee injury.

The injury occurred when Julius Randle collided with Plumlee in their pursuit of a loose ball. The initial diagnosis from the Clippers indicates a sprained left knee for Plumlee.

Expressing concern, Kawhi Leonard acknowledged that the absence of Plumlee will be a setback for the Clippers.

“It hurts us,” Leonard said. “He’s been very good, coming in that 2nd role, guarding their big. Tonight, unfortunately, he went down.

“Had to put in Moussa, doesn’t have too much playing time. You kind of seen it with the rotations out there. In time, he’ll get better.”
