Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young discussed the team’s “We just want to win” mindset following last night’s 123-105 road win vs. the New Orleans Pelicans (22 points/5 rebounds/12 assists/1 steal/7-15 FG/3-7 3-PT/5-6 FT).

Reporter: “DJ (Dejounte Murray) on Monday night having a good third quarter, you tonight having a good third quarter. What does that say about you guys’ partnership and how it’s continuing to grow?”
Young: “Well, that’s how we all expect it to be. It could be nights for him in a row where he’s taking over games, it could be the same vice versa. For us, me and him, we have the mindset: We just want to win and get to June, playing in June. That’s our whole goal, so we don’t really worry about who’s taking over a game or who’s the leading scorer in that game; we just want to win. Some nights it’s gonna be him. Some nights it may be Bogi (Bogdan Bogdanovic). It could be somebody else another night. We’re just gonna continue to play the right way and feed the hot hand, but we’re always gonna look for ourselves too because we know we gotta be aggressive and score to lead our team.”
