Dario Saric kicked off the first-ever NBA Cup In-Season Tournament for the Golden State Warriors against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, helping secure a 141-139 road victory.

Talking to the press after the win, he emphasized the group’s win.

“It was a team win, we played hard through the whole game. Sometimes you need to be a little bit lucky, sometimes you need to make the right play at the right time, and it was crucial today,” Saric said after dropping 20 points over OKC.

“I’m feeling good, I hope I’m gonna continue doing like this. Sometimes I’m gonna have ups and downs, but I’ll try to keep as best as I can percentage-wise and on the court too, not hesitating the shots.

“I was more confident in coming to a team that knew how to play high-IQ basketball. Everybody knows its role, and this summer I was watching some Golden State games and how I could find my fit in.

“Having that kind of chemistry with Chris [Paul], having played together with the Suns, I found myself in and I hope I’m gonna continue like this. It’s really fun when you play with a team that is winning all the time and when you play with a team that is sharing the ball all the time.”
