The Atlanta Hawks couldn’t afford to lose their third consecutive game at the beginning of the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season.

Thanks to Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, they secured a win and reached a 1-2 record at Fiserv Forum on Sunday, with Bogdanovic contributing 17 points.

“It feels great, of course,” he commented on the win after the NBA Sunday’s contest. “It gives us another level of motivation to work on our things, our game. Not enough time to rest and enjoy. Another game tomorrow.”

Heading back home for the back-to-back, the Atlanta Hawks are set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves at State Farm Arena on Monday.

Bogdanovic, who had a successful 6 out of 10 field goals in Milwaukee, showcased not just scoring prowess but also contributed six assists, adding to a well-rounded offensive performance.

“Most of the guys on this team, they can score, take the ball and just go and score 30 points. Just off skill and talent,” he described the Hawks.

“We know we need to sacrifice in that way, not just sacrifice and be passive, but sacrifice and help others, put them in a better position, look for that better option.

“That is going to come with practice, games, and with experience. Nobody likes to lose. We did not want to start the season 0-3.”
