New Orleans’ small forward Herb Jones received high praise from CJ McCollum, who lauded his remarkable defensive skills.
McCollum, star guard for the Pelicans, believes that Jones, a former second-round draft pick, is destined for All-Defensive team honors this season.
Jones, known for his impressive length, impeccable timing, and athleticism, stands out in the NBA with his unique shot-blocking approach.
“He doesn’t block the shot (right) out of your hand; he lets the ball leave your hand first and blocks it in the air, which is really difficult,” McCollum said about Jones, per Jim Eichenhofer.
“He covers every part of the floor, takes charges, is active on the ball, off the ball. He’s elite. He’ll be All-Defensive team this year for sure,” McCollum added.
