Olimpia Milano, the reigning champions in the Legabasket league, had a rough start to the 2023/24 season.

In their recent match against VL Pesaro, Ettore Messina’s team suffered their second defeat in five rounds, losing 80-87.

Despite Nikola Mirotic’s impressive double-double performance with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Milano couldn’t secure a victory at Mediolanum Forum.

Ismael Kamagate contributed 15 points and seven boards, and Maodo Lo scored 14 points, but it wasn’t enough.

VL Pesaro clinched a significant win with Leandro Tote leading the charge with 20 points, Scott Bamforth adding 15 points and six assists, and Quincy Ford achieving a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Ray McCallum also played a pivotal role with 11 points and 10 assists, while Trevon Bluiett and Valerio Mazzola chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
