The Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons sustained a right thumb injury in Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

An MRI conducted on Thursday evening confirmed a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right thumb.

Simons is scheduled for surgery and is anticipated to be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks.
