The Los Angeles Lakers entered this offseason with a different approach, one that focused on stability and strengthening the core rather than making blockbuster trades.

They secured superstar Anthony Davis with a contract extension and inked new deals with Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves, and D’Angelo Russell.

Additionally, the Lakers added talent through free-agent signings, including Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes, and Christian Wood.

In a recent interview, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham addressed the team’s quiet offseason.

“Yeah, I mean, we don’t want to win the headlines, we want to win games! So we have to continue the process of putting together the best team possible; not just an individual splash, you know?” Ham told Brandon “Scoop” B Robinson.

“We want to put together the best unit possible, and I thought we did — kudos to Rob [Pelinka], Jeanie and Jessie Buss, Joey, and everybody up there.”
